Minecraft Circuits in Real Life (MCIRL) – Starter Kit
Learn how to create “real” Redstone Torches with LEDs and how to control them with buttons, levers, and transistors. Minecraft Circuits for Real Life originated at FUBAR Labs and has been evolved into a series of guided workshops. Rick Anderson, founder of FUBAR Labs and author of Pro Arduino will take you from game to breadboard.
Minecraft Circuits in Real Life is a winner of a 2013 World Maker Fair Educators Choice Award.
Try the starter kit with the components you need to get started with basic electronics.
This kit omits the digital logic components.
What is Included in each MCIRL Kit:
The kit contains enough components to do current real life
lessons – episodes.
- (1) AA Battery Holder ( 4 x AA)
- (1) Mini Breadboards – each a Different Color (colors are random)
- (12) Jumper Wires
- (2) 10mm RED LED
- (2) 10mm GREEN LED
- (2) 10mm BLUE LED
- (2) 10MM YELLOW LED
- (8) 330ohm 1/4watt Resistor
- (4) Buttons – Micro Momentary/ Normally Open (Assorted Square Color CAPS)
- (1) DIP Switch
*SORRY – the kit does not include the “Minecraft Circuits in Real Life Display Board” – this was used for display during classes. We are planning to make these in the near future and if you are interested please let us know when you order and we will alert you when they are available.
